A very educative book if you intend or have purchased an orchid to help you look after it by giving it the right conditions to keep it happy and what would be more suitable for where you intend to keep your orchid. Also The Author and his daughter who own Burnham Nurseries --check out their website I recommend, Sarah is always most accommodating to help you & give advise.Plus their orchids are excellent, they are packed for dispatch with loving care. This book is great as you will find it so useful to return to whenever you need to re-asure & educate yourself as orchids are incredible species & hundreds different types & growing conditions. etc. They should not be thought of disposable when they have finished flowering. That is such a shame as they can give pleasure for many years with care

Lovely book, full of pretty pictures, and in good condition but, sadly, none of the information I needed. No response -yet- from the seller.

This Book written by the well know orchids team of Brian and Sara Ritterhausen is a comprehensive guide to all aspects of caring, propagating and all other aspects. It was second-hand but inexcellent condition and for the 'princely' sum of £1 from the 'World of Books' was a worthy addition to my Orchid libray of Books. Brian Robinson

This book is great. Lovely size, beautiful photographs and clear easy to understand information. It tells you about every type of Orchid that you can purchase and grow. The authors encourage the reader to have the confidence to try and grow these wonderful plants and they make you believe you can do it with ease.I wanted to know how to repot my dying Orchid, the book told everything I needed to know. What size pot I'd need, the compost, feed and where to position it. A super little book one I'd recommend to anyone, expert or novice!

I think I would have thrown away my orchid in disgust if I hadn't bought this book!

I was hoping that this book would answer my questions about repotting my 3 Phalaenopsis given the 5-star reviews, but it only has info regarding repotting a Cymbidium, which is a completely different kind with different root structure. In fact, there are only 3 mentions of Phalaenopsis throughout the entire book, and also a limited 4-page chapter with 1 column describing 'Care and Cultivation.'I'd very happily return this book to get a refund, but it may cost more in postage than it's worth.Totally useless to me as I'm really not interested in identifying those orchids I don't own.
