Not very meaty and it repeats itself verbatim quite a lot, but it is essentially an illustrated pamphlet as apposed to a coffee table book. I probably wouldn't have bought it had I skimmed through it in a shop. I felt I'd read it all after sitting down with a mug of tea. However there are lots of ideas if you're not very creative, clued up on Clematis, horticulture or not very artistically inclined. You're probably better off spending your money on a book on colour association and a colour wheel, or just look up colour associations and go through a specialist Clematis sellers website there's a very good one which Taylors to the Clematis buffs needs.

    lovely informed book

This book was ok but by the time I have paid postage would not order similar again as I had little knowledge of clematis and probably should have viewed more books before purchasing. Also the cover is bendy and flimsy. As a book you would use regularly checking varieties and how to cultivate them I feel the cover wouldn't last long term.
